Probably the worst web host ive ever been with! The support team are rude and iggnorant, servers are down more than they are up. THIS WEB HOST IS A SCAM! STAY AWAY! They will take your money and not provide you with the services you paid for. | |||

I have several services with them and I agree with the other posters. This company is a huge scam artist. Read the TOS very closely. They actually have a line that states the TOS can change anytime they want it to. They have a strict no refund policy, even when they are at fault. Once you pay you will never see that money again. I have a dedicated server in their Germany DC. It went down at the beginning of the week and it's been down all week. I was basically told to zip my lips and stop asking why. They told me not to submit another support ticket about downtime. They would let me know when the server was restored. I lost my customers and my reputation. I canceled the server but won't see the money. I paid the invoice early this month but my paypal sent them a payment by mistake. I put a ticket in asking them to return the over payment. I was directed to fix my paypal and sorry no refunds. I didn't even pay them for a service and they are keeping my money. Read this: 5. Refund and Disputes: All payments to santrex.net are non-refundable. This includes any one time setup fee and subsequent charges regardless of usage. All overcharges or billing disputes must be reported within 30 days of the time the dispute occurred. If you dispute a charge to your credit card issuer that, in santrex.net's sole discretion is a valid charge under the provisions of the TOS and /or AUP, you agree to pay santrex.net an "Administrative Fee" of not less than USD 50 and not more than USD 250 which will result in an immediate termination. TRAPPED! And This: All provisions of this contract are subject to the TOS (Terms of Service) of santrex.net and AUP (Acceptable Use Policy). The AUP may be changed from time to time at the discretion of the Company. Subscriber understands that change to the AUP by the Company shall not be grounds for early contract termination or non-payment. It states we can change the rules and you are not allowed to cancel your account. The prior one says no matter what we keep any money you send to us. And they do. My second issue is that I ordered a server and never received it. They sold me an Out Of Stock Server? You should not sell an out of stock product. 72 hour setup and it may take longer due to availability and weekends doesn't mean 2 weeks. Poor Excellent This is the last time I heard anything about my service. I have not received it and they will not acknowledge my cancel request. They will YELL IN ALL CAPS not to submit more than one ticket per server for any issues. Oh...and they are keeping the $209 I shelled out for France. I bought 2 dedicated servers. 1 in Chicago and 1 in Denver. They were horrible and could not have been what they spec'd them at. They hassled me about canceling them as well. Scam...I would say so. Not to mention how many times my VPS' go offline and by the time they look at the issue it's back up. This company is the worst company I have ever dealt with and I will never buy another service with them again. I have never been treated as rudely as they have or had a company not provide me with what I paid for. Refunds should be a given. Account credits are unacceptable but that's all you get. It's very sad. If you are reading this you have a chance not to go down the routes we did for a cheap price. Find a better provider! SCAMS! | |||

Told Santrex I wanted to cancel my VPS with them after they had given me the runaround of REFUSING to provide support because my e-mail did not match an account e-mail (despite the fact that I had the account name, root password, last four of the credit card used, etc.), so I logged into their ticket system as they asked and submitted the ticket stating that they need to cancel this VPS immediately, and that I would not do business with a company that chose to waste my time and refuse support. Received this RUDE e-mail in response, from a manager: http://i54.tinypic.com/2l9gmfo.png They are still refusing to cancel the VPS and assert that I'm still not logged into their billing system when I am. They obviously have no idea how to use their WHMCS software, the same software I've used for years, because I assure you I am logged in as the user with this service. Santrex service is horrible, the customer service can barely speak English despite being in London, and they simply do not care about customers and call them rude titles. Stay away. | |||

Their support is horrible! I've been with Santrex now for 3 months on the Standard $6 a month package. However when I signed up everything seemed professional like their site and getting started. I paid my money for 6 months then the waiting started. I signed up for 6months on the US server also known as volcano by the staff. First problem was paypal - I ordered through paypal and got a receipt. I never got an email from them as their mail servers ARE BLACKLISTED. My account is active and I can access cPanel and the site works but in the billing, my domain status is still Pending? Well I never got my cPanel login till the second day after purchasing it as the staff wouldn't give me my login details as it would be in the activiation email with the DNS servers. First problem. - Didn't recieve email. Second problem. - Couldn't login till day 2 when someone else replied and I showed them the paypal receipt. Third problem. - I setup my site but I needed their DNS servers, asked over support and they said I don't need any if I bought the domain with them. I didn't I replied I bought it through go-daddy. Again they said buy it with us and I will get the DNS setup for you. I was like no the service states you tell me the DNS to put into my current domain registar. After a few more days someone else came online the technical help, asked the package I was on... woe is me they couldn't just check and then told me my DNS servers where NS0.santrex.net and NS5.santrex.net Fourth problem - I complained about Fantastico not working. Still to this day it doesn't work. Fifth - Complained about backup in cPanel not working Sitll to this day it doesn't work. Sixth - Complained about mail not working? I can't send mail or recieve any to my domain www.richardslive.com Overall the service is horrible. Sure it looks good value for money. But trust me all the packages you get the same crap service. The site seems to have two people, Nick Book and Robert Holbrook who probably are the same person. Also at the moment my site has been down for a week! I have been with them three months now and downtown happens at least twice a week and the only response is .. service is fine here sir. I ask 15 different people! With 15 differnet providers! And they cannot access richardslive.com At the moment I sent a ticket a week ago asking why the server is down - their reply .. ram upgrade? few hours. Then next day I was like huh.. still not up asked again. Few days. 2 The most sir I volunteer. Its been ONE WEEK NOW! and I submitted a ticket earlier today and got the response A FEW DAYS! WORST STAFF! WORST UPTIME! SANTREX.NET = THE MOST HORRIBLE COMPANY EVER! IM NOT EVEN SURE THEIR REGISTERED?!!!!! | |||

Santrex is the bigest scammer since nigerians discovered the internet. So much went wrong with that, I don't even know where to begin. Let's start with the VPS packages. I had it running for 6 weeks, the vps-server went down 4 times, with the down-time being longer then 8 hours each time. There was no message anywhere on their site, support told us they would keep us updated but never did. Dedicated servers are even worse. We started out with the Unlimited France server. The site said it would take 72 hour, it took 4 weeks. During this time they changed the specs off the server without informing us. We canceled the server since it didn't fit our needs anymore. We decided to go for something bigger. The x-large France server with 1Gbit upgrade. Before signing up we made sure the "unmetered" servers were really unmetered, they promised us they were. The server went to function pretty nicely till the moment it hit the "magic" 10TB upload mark. Somehow the speed dropped to 2.8MB/s, after informing Santrex about it they just told us it was a coincidence and that we probably did something wrong with the server settings. It took us two days to convince them there was a fault at their dc. They told us they would check it out, two days later they told us we were being throttled because we used too much transfer. At that same moment a new clause in the ToS magically showed up saying that machines are throttled after using a certain amount of transfer. I still have a cached version of the day I ordered the server and that was nowhere in there. I am still trying to get my money back, but it doesn't look good. Stay away. | |||

Having been a customer for 4 agonising months I wish to share this with you, read from the bottom up: 2011 February 93.05 % Poor 5 2804 mins 2011 January 95.28 % Average 4 2106 mins 2010 December 98.52 % Good 2 660 mins 2010 November 100.00 % Excellent 0 0 mins Who notices a pretty pattern? In there terms of service there is this clause "Ensure reliable service to our customers". This record does not, in any way, constitute a reliable service, but they have covered themselves, scroll down to "Network Performance" number 8. But how about this one? "Maintain our reputation as a responsible service provider". They have not done that, Google around, I can guarantee 80% of the reviews will be poor/diabolical. Not only taking into account the amount of time the servers have been down, and they have not being providing my service (paid for), but the money I am also losing as a direct result of their negligence is appalling. The servers will go offline not in spurts of 5-10 minutes every now and then, but for DAYS on end (their favourite number appears to be 3). I say a class action suite for extreme negligence, loss of business, failing to meet the TOS, providing a poor quality service, etc, should be set-up. I know I'll join. | |||

I can only say BEWARE OF THEM because their servers are always down (I 'm using there China server) their server downtime is more than the uptime, their billing system is completely unreliable & last but not the least, their support staff is bunch of clowns don't expect help from them, you've to solve problems by yourself. If you are searching for a good offshore host then don't waste time and money on santrex. | |||

-DO NOT HOST WITH SCAMTREX, Their prices are cheap because THEY ARE A SCAM !!!! -In one month my services has been off-line for at least 7 days . -the support is terrible and the staff are not well mannered, they take roughly 48 hours to reply to a ticket whether if the ticket is set on low or high, the level indicator doesn't mean anything to them. -Every two days them suspend account [VPS,DS] and no unsuspending without pay moeny .. I bought a Starter Linux Vps in a German Location($9 a month) and was great for about 20 days. After that, speed become slow, and started to experience several small downtimes from 2 to 10 minutes a day. The second month I decided to upgrade to a bigger package and move to a UK vps location (OVH provider), but was even worst. I had big problems with ram and Cpu usage, moreover the vps was down for about 2 consecutive days 3 times. My theory is "OVERSELLING". Then i decided to buy a shared hosting reseller account for $15, all unlimited. I experienced 3 or 4 hours downtime several days a week. Their provider for Netherland is Ecatel wich is exellent, and I used to have a dedicated server with them and never had a problem douring 3 years. My theory is "OVERSELLING". Customer Support, is not bad, but also is not helpful. Everytime you submit a support ticket they reply with " we are looking at your problem, please wait kindly ". When i had 2 consecutive days without service i submitted 10 tickets and had no reply. Conclusion, Santrex is a non-reliable company, wich oversells their servers and allow all type of sites to be hosted with them and take no care if their servers are down for 1 or for 2 days. Cheap + All Unlimited = overselling and downtimes. | |||

They are the worst server providers ... its really irritating .. servers remains down 3 out of 7 days a week ... and by the time we configure it and start working ... again go down .. REQUEST : DON'T GO FOR IT .. BIG SCAM | |||
