Siteleader.com, Inc. was founded in 1996 as a domain name registration service. The company got its start in a small Wisconsin home office on a single Apple Macintosh computer, and has grown by leaps and bounds.

Currently the company employs numerous professionals including customer service representatives, technical support staff, sales and marketing personnel, an operations manager, financial consultants, accountants, software programmers, a hardware consultants, and a Unix guru who maintains our various server units. Additional hardware consultants, translators and in-house and outside counsel are also on staff.

Atrocious, no telephone number for contact, they lock you in and wont respond to allow transfers away. Excessive renewal fees and penalties to pay that are automated as they purposely dont remind you of expiries.

In one word AVOID...............

SiteLeader is a Good web hosting company with lots of features and fast technical support. I have had very few problems but I still keep my main sites with Dreamhost and HostGator and my Canadian hosting provider is Hostingplex.

unable to reach support or admin personnel on email addresses that were valid only months ago, no response via "ticket" reporting on their website. They double-billed me recently and I can't get ahold of anyone, including the phone number on my cc statement which rings and goes to a mailbox with generic greeting.
I tried setting up e commerce, but their software, OS Commerce is really European by design and structure so doesn't work for things like sales tax by state, or shipping weight calculation, and my questions about this software was met by "we don't know all software programs out there". I only need support with the software that they provided! Now I'm trying to change providers but suspect I have to start writing letters to their state agency, BBB, etc., to get a response from these guys.
